Exploring Personal Iconography in Painting

Painting is ultimately story-telling – and this workshop will offer new perspectives around telling yours. Designed for any level of expertise using any media (acyrlic, watercolour, collage, mixed media) this workshop incorporates story-telling, play and metaphor – with a lighthearted, personalized approach. If you want, bring objects or photographs which carry meaning for you for inspiration. Reflect, laugh and explore your art making process with a guided fresh perspective. Whether your bent is towards abstraction or realism, this workshop will challenge and delight – and help take your paintings to the next level.

Kato Wake has been self employed for most of her life – as art teacher, graphic and web designer, painter, silk-screener, restaurant service instructor and wine educator. Colour is one of her most loved areas of expertise and her teaching style is personal and hands-on – honing in on each participant's strengths. Kato will inspire and elevate your spirit – and your art!
