The emphasis of this two-day workshop will be on design and composition and value studies. Lila encourages boldness and personal expression, which do not come without some exercises and preparation. The experience in creativity will be an adventure!

As many colours of acrylic paints as you have. The more the better. Black and white are essential.

 

Paper, 22" x 30"  about 6-8 sheets. Some, for the exercises, can be of a less expensive type. Some canvases also, optional. Some raw canvas,optional.

 

A board,covered in plastic, to put under the paper.

 

Brushes, some small, but mostly large flats, 1", 2", 3", 4" but if you can find them, even better 6" and 8". 

 

Plastic Containers with covers large enough to fit in a 4" brush. These can be found in the supermarket or dollar store.

 

Tools to move paint around: scrapers, rollers, squeegees, etc

 

NOTE: It is a messy class. Floors and tables need to be covered. Floor with tarps, not too slippery.

 

 

Time: September 13 and 14, 2017 from 10 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

Place: The Boardroom in Markham Village Community Centre
