Artwork Description
This painting depicts an impression of a coppice one might find in a forest. Various colours were used and, after their application, a dry, hard brush was scored across the paint to create the surface texture. The green/yellow colours at the lower left side draw the eye into the painting and invite the viewer in, as perhaps one might chose a path to enter into a forest. The colours of the abstract trees overlap each other as they merge suggesting a forest canopy. www.gwynwilliams.com gwynvwill@gmail.com
