Main Street, settled in 1794, is a street that runs through the town of Unionville, holding some of its most historic buildings, homes and businesses. Recent proposals for multiple construction developments within the street put those historical landmarks in jeopardy, including the original firehall dating from the early 1800's, whose unique architecture stands out in the pretty street. I wanted to capture images of some the buildings slated for demolition or urban intensification before the streetscape changes forever.
