Magazine Paper Collage

This tyger is made up entirely of paper sourced and torn from magazines, down to each individual whisker, indicated fur and eye highlights. The challenge is that the artist cannot mix their own palette, and is limited to what they can find. I look for pattern, and different shades of necessary colours to create form, texture and dimension. I also like to hide some easter eggs in the text I select, such as the tiger poem. This noble beast evokes nobility, and a trace of exotic histories, explorations and poetry.
